Iaso Tea is a hugely popular weight loss tea that can apparently help you to lose several pounds in just a few days. There are a lot of rather hard-to-believe claims being made about this tea, but do the claims actually have any foundation in truth or are they as out there and as ridiculous as they seem? What is Iaso Tea?

Iaso Tea is a herbal tea mixture that is sold as a weight-loss aid, packed into single serving bags and recommended as something that you consume several times a day over the course of several days. This “program” is supposed to aid with weight loss, yet there are many customers who have claimed that it just doesn’t work.

Of course, as with everything there are also many Iaso Tea reviews saying that it is effective and that it does work. It’s a mixed bag, one that slightly leans more towards the negative, but with our own Iaso Tea review we aim to discover the truth.

These ingredients are natural and plant based, but that doesn’t always mean they are safe and it definitely doesn’t mean they are effective. These ingredients seem to have been chosen for their antioxidant properties as well as their usage in ancient herbal medicine. There is some promise there, but let’s take a look at them in more detail to see if Iaso Tea actually wrks.

Is Iaso Tea Effective: The Details

As mentioned above, we need to pick apart the ingredients in Iaso Tea to determine if this is an effective weight loss tea or not. These include:

  • Persimmon Leaves: A strong antioxidant, albeit one that is often underused for this purpose in the west.
  • Marsh Mallow: Can act against inflammation in the body, reducing it and bringing disease under control.
  • Malva Leaves: Is also an anti-inflammatory drug that can reduce potentially dangerous inflammations in the body.
  • Holy Thistle: This ingredient acts as a diuretic, which means it flushes the excess water out of the body.
  • Papaya Leaves: Another ingredient that acts as a diuretic, albeit one that has also been used in ancient medicine as an aid for the skin and the hair.
  • Chamomile: This is an effective herbal ingredient, but not with regards to weight loss. Camomile is partly used to soothe the stomach and mainly to relax the body and the mind, aiding with sleep and fighting anxiety and insomnia.
  • Ginger: This is a powerful, pungent and tasty spice. It helps with digestion and stomach cramps.
  • Myrrh: This can work as an antiseptic and is often added to dental mouthwashes in order to flush out bacteria in the mouth.
  • Blessed Thistle: This is very similar to Holy Thistle and works in much the same way.

Is Iaso Tea Effective: The Results

We personally didn’t experience any hugely positive benefits from this tea. It acted as you would expect, which is to say that it made us go to the toilet a little more than usual and also seemed to help soothe the stomach. It has a taste that you might associate with something that triggers reflux, but it actually has the opposite effect.

There is nothing here that can burn fat. It will help you to lose weight, but only water weight. When you spend a few days drinking this tea then your body will flush liters of excess water out. Our bodies are made-up mostly of water, so when this happens then the numbers on the scale drop considerably. It’s not fat-loss and it’ll return as soon as you stop drinking the tea and start drinking more water, but it does do what it promises.

That’s something, but it’s not much and its definitely not what customers will expect or what they might have been led to believe. In fact, unless you are carrying a lot of excess water or you’re looking to cut for a fight, performance or some other athletic event, then this is not the tea you want to be drinking.

Is Iaso Tea Safe?

It is safe, but only if you’re healthy and you’re drinking plenty of water and not overdoing it with regards to exercise and heat. If you drink lots of Iaso Tea, you don’t drink a lot of water, you deprive yourself of electrolytes and you work out a lot and spend a lot of time in the sun, then you will lose much more fluids than you’re getting and that can dehydrate you to dangerous levels.

It’s also risky for anyone who is pregnant, anyone who has urinary disorders or diseases, and anyone who is diabetic. In such cases you need to control the regulation of fluids in your body and can’t take the sort of strain that excessive use of Iaso Tea will put on your body.

If you’re concerned about how Iaso Tea will affect you and whether it will be dangerous or not, consult your doctor beforehand. It is always better to be safe than sorry. You should also begin small, drinking 1 cup and then waking for that to take effect before continuing with the Iaso Tea program.

What Does Iaso Tea Taste Like?

It’s not the best tasting tea, but it’s not that bad and it’s definitely drinkable. The inclusion of stevia helps to sweet the tea while the inclusion of spices like ginger help to give it a kick and make it a palatable drink. The important thing is that it’s drinkable but not overly enjoyable. When you consider that most people drink Iaso Tea as a medicine and not out of enjoyment, this is perfect acceptable.

It’s just a shame that we can’t say the same thing about the rest of this product.
